Acclaimed singer-songwriter Eric Andersen launched his professional career at Gerde's Folk City in the mid-'60s. As part of the Greenwich Village folk scene that included Phil Ochs, Patrick Sky, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Bob Dylan, Eric made a name for himself with songs that displayed an intriguing mix of irony and high romanticism. Over his forty year career, Eric has recorded 22 albums, and many of his original songs, like "Thirsty Boots" and "Violets of Dawn," have become folk classics, covered by artists all over the world, including Judy Collins, Fairport Convention, Peter Paul and Mary, The Grateful Dead, and Francoise Hardy. His most recent album, The Street was Always There (Appleseed), is a collection of songs written by him and other artists from the streets, cafes, and clubs of 1960s Greenwich Village.

SONiA, a powerfully honest Baltimore singer-songwriter, gained a devoted fan base around the world in the 90s as part of the duo, disappear fear. Highlighting songs from her new album, No Bomb Is Smart, SONiA performs songs that blend socially and politically charged lyrics with a deeply humanistic vision. Leaping back and forth between country, folk, blues, and rock -- and continually displaying her great ear for a catchy pop melody -- she weaves the headline news into a rich tapestry of soulful affirmation and musical substance.
