Singing unaccompanied by musical instruments has been part of the
heritage of English-speaking peoples for centuries, and nobody showcases
the rich history of this form like Oak, Ash & Thorn, in a great show replete
with memorable choruses, irreverent humor, and rich harmony. The a
cappella trio's repertoire is drawn from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales,
Australia, and America, and includes working songs, drinking songs, sea
chanteys, love songs, Renaissance ballads, and more.
The
popular threesome, which has delighted audiences throughout the
English-speaking world for more than 30 years, presents numerous old
gems, including songs from its most recent album, Old Enough to
Drink, a live album recorded at East Bay venues including the Freight.
