Singer-songwriter Steve Young's incredibly smooth and powerful voice was
memorably described by Tulsa World as "pure cream shot through a fire hose."
This Georgia native plays American roots music that deftly interlaces his
Southern heritage with blues, folk, country, and rock music, with side trips
to Appalachia, Texas, and the Celtic world -- the Celtic side of things is
particularly apparent in the latest of his 12 albums, Primal Young
(Appleseed).
A true modern troubadour, Steve has taken his unique songs and
lightning guitar playing throughout the world, and has written some of
country music's most memorable hits, including "Montgomery in the Rain," for
Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings' anthem "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean," and
"Seven Bridges Road," recorded by folks from Dolly Parton to Joan Baez.
