Spotlighting tunes from her new CD, Cover Their Eyes, Indiana-based singer-songwriter Krista Detor performs tuneful, compelling songs that push the edges of various genres, incorporating the musical influence of her travels throughout the southern U.S., the midwest, and Europe. Singing in an evocative alto voice, Krista accompanies herself on piano and field organ, backed by David Weber on guitar, mandolin, and musical saw.
Krista's first CD, Mudshow, was released in 2006 to international critical acclaim, reaching the #1 spot on the Euro-Americana Chart. Her music has been featured on radio stations throughout the world, from NPR to the BBC to Dutch Nat'l Radio. She has also worked on a collaborative stage show, "Wilderness Plots," with Carrie Newcomer and Tim Grimm.
