Ronny Cox
Thursday, April 23, 2009
an evening with renowned singer, songwriter, actor & story-teller
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

Ronny Cox is notable for his sophisticated, lyric-driven folk sound. On stage as well as on CDs like his recent How I Love Them Old Songs, the accomplished actor and musician showcases what he describes as a mix of "folk, western, jazzy-bluesy, and just plain corn ball stuff."

Eclectic and compelling, Ronny presents his material with all the finesse of a 30-year veteran of the stage and screen, spicing it up with theatrical flair and numerous samples of his infamous "stories of questionable veracity."

Ronny first came to public attention in 1972, when John Boorman cast him as one of the four rafters in the film Deliverance, in which he engaged in the famous musical duel with the enigmatic banjo picker. Since then, Ronny has appeared in over 50 films, including Bound for Glory, RoboCop, and Total Recall, and numerous television series like St. Elsewhere, The Agency, and Stargate SG1.
