She's back at last! Acclaimed by the New York Times as a "comic observer of contemporary manners, incisive singer-songwriter Christine Lavin sparkles (both literally and figuratively) in concert. Armed only with a guitar, a miner's headlamp, a pair of batons, and boundless insight into popular culture, Christine takes the house by storm with her giddy stories, rants, and riotous original songs on a broad spectrum of unlikely subjects, from sensitive New Age guys to "permanent reminders of temporary fads."
Christine's new topical album, Happy Dance of the Xenophobe, is but the latest chapter in an illustrious career that includes seven years as a founding member of the Four Bitchin' Babes, numerous awards, television and radio appearances, and a serious knitting obsession.
K2Tog, an environmentally and socially aware yarn shop on Solano Avenue is the proud of sponsor of Christine Lavin's Freight & Salvage show and pre-show knitting circle. Yes, you can knit with the stars, or at least this one. Audience members are invited to come knit with Christine prior to the show! Just show up at 7:00 with your needles and half-finished sweater, scarf, or sock in hand.
