Nell Robinson & Red Level serve up an evening of fresh, honky-tonk-infused bluegrass and country music with some alt-folk, originals, and "just plain cool stuff" thrown in for good measure. Rollicking high energy, sweet three-part harmonies, and hot pickin' make this band very fun to see and hear.

Backing Nell's distinctive vocals are a group of musicians with impeccable bluegrass credentials: Red Level features Jacob Groopman (Lost Coast) on guitar, Brian Judd (who cut his teeth opening shows for Doc & Merle Watson some 30 years ago) on mandolin, Jonathan Schiele (Highway One, the David Thom Band) on banjo, and Andrew Conklin (the Mountain Boys, Lost Coast) on bass.

Tonight's openers, Matt Dudman & Richard Brandenburg, sing old-time country pre-bluegrass "brother" duets. Inspired by the likes of the Louvin, Monroe, and Delmore Brothers, Matt and Richard promise an entertaining set of old-style songs and beautiful, tight harmonies.
