Powerful emotions are unleashed when Welsh troubadour Martyn Joseph takes the stage. This charismatic singer-songwriter is known for his edgy, intense protest songs that lead audiences across some of the darker terrains of life, documenting the sorrow and injustice in the world, yet all the while lighting the way with enduring hope and an irrepressibly droll sense of humor.
During the two decades he's been performing, Martyn has enjoyed impressive critical acclaim and a number of hit singles, including "Dolphins Make Me Cry" in the early 1990s, but it's his passionate performance style and the depth and resonance of his songs that has earned him his enormous, staunch grassroots following. He recently released his sixteenth studio album, Deep Blue .
