One of the youngest musicians ever to be inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame, Elana Fremerman is an internationally acclaimed performer. Familiar to Freightgoers as the scorching violinist and smoky-voiced singer in the hot jazz and western swing trio, Hot Club of Cowtown, she has been featured at major concerts worldwide -- most recently as a notable member of Bob Dylan's touring band.

While the members of Hot Club of Cowtown have sadly gone their separate ways, Kansas-born Elana (who resides in Austin these days) is now fronting her own trio, with her cousins Luke Hill on guitar and Beau Sample on upright bass. Elana promises that the trio will play plenty of hot jazzy tunes in the spirit of legendary 1930s violinist Stephane Grappelli and guitarist Django Reinhardt, plus Western swing numbers, hoedowns, gypsy music and some of Elana's own great originals.
