One of the most endearing duos ever to grace the West Coast folk scene,
Seattle-based Ginny Reilly and Bay Area resident David Maloney played to
packed houses throughout the '70s and '80s. The pair's success was
based on their wonderful blend of voices and an ability to mix the best of
others' material with their own solid songwriting talent.
In 1991,
after many albums and over 3,000 concerts, the distance between their
respective home bases led the two to stop touring and pursue their own
separate interests, with occasional performances, like this evening's, in
which they join forces to celebrate their enduring
friendship.
Ginny and David recently released Together
Again, a live album recorded primarily at the Freight, which features
many of their classic arrangements as well as a generous sampling of the
newer material they have been performing in recent concerts.
