contemporary folk artist w/ evocative vocals, stunning guitarist & literate, compelling songwriting
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | SOLD-OUT

A remarkable guitarist, an incisive songwriter, a versatile and richly textured singer, and a hilarious performer all rolled into one, Patty Larkin rivets audiences with her commanding, poetic songs full of wordplay and painterly detail. Born in Iowa and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patty studied at the Berklee School of Music and launched her career in Boston in the late '80s. Playing the subways and streets and in a succession of rock, jazz, and folk bands before striking out on her own, Patty has steadily developed and expanded her talent, pulling ever-growing hordes of fans along with her for the ride.

A string of superb albums like Angels Running and Perishable Fruit attest to Patty's continuing evolution as a witty and passionate explorer of the intersection between folk and pop music, and have won her critical acclaim and an unprecedented 11 Boston Music Awards.

Patty recently released a new recording of original tunes, Red = Luck (Vanguard), a tightly written song cycle that led the Boston Globe to hail her as "One of the finest architects of song."

Singer-songwriter, Deb Pasternak, opens
