Celebrating the release of her first folk-rock CD in seven years, End of
Desire, multi-faceted singer-songwriter Jennifer Berezan is joined by
an amazing array of musicians from the recording for an evening of
thought-provoking, exhilarating music. With her superb voice and
accomplished guitar style, Jennifer performs strongly political original
tunes, backed by a rocking band: joining her tonight are multi-keyboardist
Julie Wolf and bassist Jon Evans (currently with Tori Amos), plus
renowned guitarist Geoff Pearlman, drummer Scott Amendola, vocalists
Chris Webster, Anthony Costello, David Worm, Riffat Salamat, and other
friends.
After a number of expended recordings and rituals that
featured musicians and authors from various world cultures, Jennifer
returns to her musical roots with her new CD. Weaving elements of folk,
chant, and pop into heart achingly beautiful songs, Jennifer continues to
write music centered on her lifelong involvement in activism,
environmental, women's and other justice movements, as well as an
interest in Buddhism. These issues, and other universal themes such as
loving and longing, are brought into fresh focus with some of her most
memorable melodies.
