One of the true living masters of American home-grown music, Geoff
Muldaur makes traditional gospel, folk, and blues styles his own in an
unusual process he calls "Muldaurizing," wrapping his polished guitar
playing and riveting, otherworldly voice around unusually crafted
interpretations of classic, often obscure, American material as well as his
own unique compositions. Geoff began his career in Cambridge,
Massachusetts in the '60s, recording and touring with the legendary Jim
Kweskin Jug Band. He then joined Paul Butterfield, applying his soulful
voice and masterful guitar to Chicago blues. Geoff has recorded 10 solo
albums, most recently Secret Handshake and Password
(HighTone). Tonight he's joined on stage by Larry Hanks, jew's harp
virtuoso and bass singer extraordinaire.
