inventive improvisational singer, songwriter & pianist
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $16.50

"I never play a song the same way twice," claims Pete Muller. Informal and unexpected, he moves seamlessly from his improvisational roots and large repertoire of cover tunes to original numbers from his new album, More Than This. After waking up several years ago to realize that he could no longer find happiness managing hedge funds, this pianist and vocalist decided to dedicate himself to art instead, sharing his love for music with audiences from subway stations to coffee shops, well-known venues to gatherings at his home in New York City. Pete claims Harry Chapin, Bruce Hornsby, and Billy Joel as influences, and his performances swing from jazz-influenced tunes full of cool, beautiful piano figures to rip-roaring barrelhouse sizzlers.
