Singer-songwriter Stacey Earle began her career as a backup singer for her brother Steve. With a rich, refreshing sound and endearingly evocative style, it did not take long for her to gain a sizeable following once she began performing with her husband, guitarist and pianist Mark Stuart, in their hometown of Nashville. In recent years, Stacey and Mark have been taking their music on the road: in their visits to the Freight the duo never fails to win over the audience with their great chemistry, finely-crafted gems of songs, subtle vocals, tight arrangements, and spare, country-roots guitar playing. Last summer, the pair completed their fourth album, Never Gonna Let You Go, their first-ever full studio collaboration. "I do not claim to be country, I do not claim to be pop, I do not claim to be folk, totally - even though most of my circuit is folk," says Stacey. "It's just people's music, and there's a little something there for everyone."
