searing vocal harmony blending folk, honky-tonk & traditional Mexican roots
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

San Antonio sibling duo Lisa and Roberta Morales pull together various strands from the rich weave of cultures in their home state, with a repertoire that runs the full Texas gamut from country to Mexican ranchera music, honky-tonk to sweet, thoughtful ballads. While their intelligent songwriting and catchy melodies have been featured on past albums, on their most recent release, Para Gloria, the duo applies beautiful, tightly interwoven harmonies to the Spanish-language traditional classics they sang as youngsters growing up in Arizona. Plainly this project, dedicated to their mother, is close to their hearts, and they infuse everything with a loving, soulful delivery and gorgeous harmonies.

In performance, the sisters' energetic, engaging stage presence and rapport are added attractions, along with the fine talent of their Texas band that features lead guitarist, David Spencer.

Tonight's concert is co-presented by our good neighbor,
MI TIERRA FOODS.
Mi Tierra Foods is located a few doors from the Freight at 2096 San Pablo Avenue.
