Singer, songwriter, activist, and teacher of the "art of the possible," Cris Williamson brings her astounding voice to bear on a disarming mixture of joyful up-tempo tunes and poignant ballads, woven together from strands of folk, reggae, and lush pop. Cris transformed popular music in the mid-1970s, spearheading the blossoming women's music genre with The Changer and the Changed, the first of 20 recordings -- most recently the powerful Ashes -- and a duo album with Holly Near, appropriately titled Cris & Holly. Whether she's playing for a few folks at a small club or for a sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall, Cris stirs souls and opens minds with music that celebrates human strength, tenacity, and resilience. A fiery vocal dynamo who combines a larger-than-life gospel-soul voice, a gutsy blues style, and topnotch songwriting talents, Teresa Trull has released five albums, including some great duo recordings with Barbara Higbie (Playtime) and Cris Williamson (Country Blessed). Also an accomplished producer of over 30 albums, Teresa has performed and shared stages with Sheila E., David Sanborn, Joan Baez, and many others.

An exuberant, multi-talented fiddle and piano virtuoso in many musical styles, as well as the possessor of a lovely singing voice and a stage presence like a ray of sunshine, Barbara Higbie's music combines technical brilliance and pure joie de vivre. With a rich background that includes classical piano and violin studies, immersion in the musical culture of Ghana, and acclaimed collaborations with the jazz-folk-bluegrass band Montreux and Terry Riley, Barbara's music is lyrical, rhythmically playful, and harmonically inventive. Her most recent solo album is a collection of instrumental piano pieces, Variations on a Happy Ending.
