Ever since her trailblazing solo career helped rewrite the rules of the music industry in the early seventies, Tret Fure has been a mainstay and guiding light for the Women's Music movement.

A singer, songwriter, and gifted instrumentalist, Tret has been bringing her wit and passion to audiences throughout the world for the subsequent three decades. Known for her gift of writing lyrical vignettes, Tret mixes joyful up-tempo tunes, disarming piano ballads, and poignant songs full of astute observations.

Since she left longtime partner Cris Williamson several years ago to embark on a solo career, Tret has, in her own words, "Moved back to my roots and closer to my essence," and her music has gained even greater depth and richness of tone, as heard on her new album, My Shoes.
