country music with attitude

Who could resist a group described by Thirsty Ear magazine as "Woody Guthrie meets the wicked witch of the west"? Hailing from the high desert of New Mexico, alt-country quartet Dolly Ranchers perform refreshingly honest ramblings on whiskey, passion, and the romance of the open road.

Accompanying the great vocal harmonies of Sarah-Jane Moody and Amy Bertucci are guitarist Marisa Anderson and bassist Maria Fabulosa, creating a unique sound that blends twangy back-porch country music with a modern, avant-garde consciousness.

The foursome alternate between fierce country punk, rousing honkytonk and sweet, rootsy ballads as they perform numbers from their recent second album, Escape Artist.
