innovative jazz vocal & instrumental ensemble

A captivating singer and composer with a vision of music as a vehicle for transformation and social change, Rhiannon has been bringing her vibrant blend of world music, jazz, improvisation and storytelling to audiences for over three decades. He current project is Bowl Full of Sound, a unique and compelling musical ensemble combining the instrumental virtuosity of pianist Frank Martin and electric cellist Jami Sieber, with fellow improvisational vocalists Joey Blake and David Worm bringing an additional element of spontaneous combustion with their inspired singing and innovative use of mouth/body percussion and sung bass. Born in South Dakota, Rhiannon has worked as a singer, actor, director and member of innovative musical ensembles like Bobby McFerrin's Voicestra, SoVoSo, and the pioneering jazz quintet Alive! Bowl Full of Sound recently released their first album, Out of the Blue, a live recording that captures the quintet's wild, out-on-the-edge improvisations on beautifully arranged classics like the jazz standard "Bluesette" and Bela Fleck's "Communication," as well as plenty of original gems.
