contemporary folk duo

Alice and Barry Olivier return with new songs, dynamic blended harmonies, elegant guitar playing, and a fabulous repertoire including Alice's beautiful, intimate originals as well as traditional and contemporary folk songs. Barry, long a mainstay of the local folk music scene, created the famed Berkeley Folk Festivals of the 1960s at the University of California. He is a celebrated teacher of folk guitar whose students have included Creedence Clearwater Revivalist John Fogerty and the late folk legend, Kate Wolf. Tonight's show is another Buzzard's Roost night -- meaning laid-back and informal -- with proceeds benefiting the Freight's new facilities fund.
