Among the Freight's best loved performers, Marley's Ghost is as much English folk roots as Jamaican reggae, plus gospel, country, r&b, even Scottish bagpipe tunes. The group features Jon Wilcox's mandolin and guitar, Mike PhelanUs electric, acoustic, lap steel, and resonator guitars and fiddle, Dan WheetmanUs banjo, bass, and guitars, and Ed Littlefield's bagpipes and various guitars. With inspired four-part vocal harmonies, often sung a cappella, the quartet is a favorite on the festival circuit and in clubs throughout the world. Tonight the group celebrates the release of its live concert album Live at the Freight, recorded in 2000 within our Addison Street confines. |
