David Jacobs-Strain is an 18 year old acoustic blues guitar prodigy from the Pacific Northwest. Last year he wrote; "The blues sometimes finds a voice in unexpected places. I was drawn by the vital humanism of the music, the delta blues, a true, uncommercial folk music. The joys and sufferings of many people are there in the texture of the music. For me the intensity of the music itself is the obsession that challenges the soul." His new album, Stuck on the Way Back, features David's originals as well as newly arranged traditional songs. David, a gifted guitarist with an uncanny ability to move audiences will be accompanied by Peter Joseph Burtt on korea, mbira, and percussion. |
