Jim Brunberg and Jeff Pehrson formed Box Set shortly after the two met at an open mic in 1991. Their intricate acoustic guitars and tightly woven, clear harmonies wrap intricately around the intelligent yet passionate, and occasionally twisted lyrics, to form a powerful musical experience. In 1998 they released Thread (Polygram), a major label album that followed on the heels of three successful independent releases. Last year the two returned to their acoustic and independent roots with the release of Live Duo, a double album showcasing what you will see and hear tonight: two guys, two guitars, two great voices, and (at least) 22 great songs.
