premier singer-songwriter

Born in Brattleboro, Vermont, Louise Taylor got her first guitar at age 12, and by 15 she was on the road, in what became a seven-year journey hitchhiking and playing on street corners around the country. Along the way, she honed her skills as a writer, singer and player of power and grace, and earned her stripes as a master storyteller. On stage, this modern troubadour weaves strongly poetic tales from the deepest parts of the heart with her smoky alto voice, deft guitar work, and a fiery, foot-stomping presence, inviting listeners on a unique, sensuous and deeply personal path with songs that blend together many shades of the blues, her recent travels in Ireland, and her affinity for Appalachian storytelling. Louise is a well-known figure in the New England singer-songwriter scene and has released several albums, most recently last year's Written in Red, on the Signature label. A native South Caroliana and one of the strongest guitarists in contemporary folk, Jack Williams' music is born at the meeting ground of the traditional and the contemporary. His combination of original Southern-American songwriting and stellar performance skills draw deeply from the eclectic well of our musical heritage. Jack's fusion of guitar, voice, and song is loaded with delighful influences from a long and successful career in jazz, classical, rock, blues, country, and folk.
