folk music's longest running conspiracy of fun

Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet as Trout Fishing in America perform spirited and inventive music. Blues, pop, reggae, and folk go into the mix, but what comes out, from the hilariously comic to the poignantly reflective, is utterly unique. The duo, taking its name from Richard Brautigan's novel, has been at it since 1979, playing and singing on albums such as Truth Is Stranger Than Fishin', Reel Life, and most recently, Closer to the Truth. Bassist Keith and guitarist Ezra sing impeccably perfect harmonies, are masters of their instruments, and possess the ability to take a song to its ultimate logical absurdity without ever missing a beat. Bring the entire family and discover why TFIA enthusiasts have been engaged in traditional music's longest-running conspiracy of fun.
