Since moving to Nashville a decade ago and emerging on the national bluegrass scene, Bay Area native, Rob Ickes, has been named the International Bluegrass Music Association Dobro Player of the Year in both 1996 and 1997, and won acclaim with his 1997 solo recording debut, Hard Times, an adventuresome blend of bluegrass and blues.
