Singer and songwriter Hugh Shacklett has been performing in Northern California for the past thirty years. Best known for his collaborations with the late Kate Wolf, Hugh writes about the large and small moments in life, the winners and losers at love and cards, quiet moonlit nights on a boyhood lane, moray eels, hobos, cowboys, places past their prime, and his old dog "Shorty." Hugh's songs reflect his interest is in the journey, not the destination. When not performing solo, Hugh is a member of the folk trio, The Perfect Crime. The group recently release its second album, Friends. Guitarist extraordinaire, Nina Gerber, accompanies Hugh for tonight's performance. |
