Known for his intelligent lyrics and passionate performance style, singer-songwriter Dirk Hamilton creates music that can't be pigeonholed into one genre or another: try a blending of indie rock, alt-rock, roots music, americana, and folk-rock with musical panache, wit, and a poet's sensibilities.

Raised in Northern California, Dirk was writing songs and playing live performances by the time he was in high school. He moved to Los Angeles in the late 1970's and recorded a number of critically acclaimed albums like Alias i (ABC Records) and Meet Me at the Crux (Elektra/Asylum Records). A prolific artist, he has released 17 albums in all, including this year's More Songs From My Cool Life, a chronicle of experiences from childhood through childraising, as well as pointed commentary about life in America, past and present.
