This husband-wife duo combines Steve Gillette's renowned country-folk songwriting with Cindy Mangsen's traditional Appalachian roots. Steve has seen his originals, including "Darcy Farrow," "Happy Hour," and "Back on the Street Again," recorded by the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Ian & Sylvia, Gordon Lightfoot, and Garth Brooks. Cindy plays dulcimer, guitar, banjo, and concertina and sings with a smooth, silky voice utterly lacking in affectation and colored by a natural vibrato.

In concert and albums—most recently Being There—the two cover a variety of styles, blending world-class professionalism with down-home, informal charm.
