Back in the day, the Loading Zone (LZ) used to rip it up and sew it back together on a regular basis at the Fillmore and other clubs around the Bay Area including two of Berkeley's finest, the New Orleans House and the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse.
In the fall of 2005, founding lead vocalist and organist Paul Fauerso reconnected with LZ members George Marsh (drums), and Mike Eggleston (bass) and the magic was back. After a few rehearsals, the psych-funk pioneers recorded five new tracks (including four originals) and then added three tracks from their seminal 1969 album, "One For All" to come up with unique new CD release on ElderFunk Records entitled Blue Flame. Come celebrate with the band on the 14th and pick up a CD and/or an original vinyl copy of "One For All". George recently rejoined the David Grisman Quintet and has invited fellow "Dawg" Matt Eakle to sit in on flute, so it promises to be a memorable evening.
