Dale's fluid guitar solos, fingerstyle guitar-slide guitar duets with Sam Page, and ensemble numbers featuring vocalist and guitarist Allegra Broughton are all on the program, and who knows what other special guests may show up? Evenings with Dale are always wide-ranging and fun, not to mention technically astounding!

Dale coaxes a sweet and mellow tone from his custom Martin and vintage National steel-body, resonator guitars. He applies his seemingly effortless style to blues, ragtime, and jazz standards as well as to his original compositions. Dale became an established acoustic music star with his mid-1970's release, Fingerpicking Rags and Other Delights. This highly influential album has inspired several generations of fingerstyle guitarists, as have Dale's subsequent recordings. Tonight he spotlights selections old and new, with a particular focus on jazz standards, Beatles covers, and ragtime and novelty tunes from Time Goes By, which contains updated arrangements from his 1970s recordings with Kicking Mule Records.
