country/folk songwriter and gifted guitar player
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

Singer-songwriter Audrey Auld Mezera and guitarist Andrew Hardin join forces for an electrifying evening of music.

Audrey, a Tasmania-born Marin County resident, pens vivid character-driven stories of heartbreak and heroes. "Music with the dirt left on" is how she describes her engaging "Americ-kinda" tunes, which combine traditional American country and folk influences with strong Australian roots. Whether humorous or poignant, Audrey's songs carry the ring of truth, and they're delivered with a beautiful, soulful voice and a great stage presence, all of which recently helped win her top honors in MerleFest's prestigious Chris Austin Song Contest. Her most recent CD is Lost Men & Angry Girls.

Internationally renowned for his stunning guitar playing, Andrew Hardin is a veteran of many country, rock, and blues acts. He is probably best known to Freightgoers as the longtime accompanist of singer-songwriter Tom Russel, with whom he collaborated for over 20 years. Incorporating influences as diverse as Clarence White, Ry Cooder, Gabby Pahinui, and Chet Atkins, Andrew draws on the sounds of blues, country, tropical, and Spanish-flavored music to create his own distinctively clean, highly emotive style.
