high spirited contemporary folk
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

A singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina with an earthy, elegant voice, Christine Kane makes music that celebrates both the vulnerability and strength of the human spirit. Written from the heart without being sentimental or self-indulgent, Christine’s songs are poignant observations of modern society and ordinary and extraordinary people—but that doesn’t stop her from tying the audience in knots with her hilarious stories in between numbers.

Over the past decade, Christine headlined at music festivals, performed at humanitarian events like Concerts for a Landmine Free World, and saw a ballet choreographed to her songs performed by the North Carolina Dance Theatre. Tonight she spotlights songs from her new double CD, A Friday Night in One Lifetime.
