red-hot mountain music
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

The Biscuit Burners are sure to light a fire under it in their first solo night following their opening set for Tim O'Brien last year. Spotlighting tunes from their recent CD, A Mountain Apart (Indidog), the Burners offer what they call "fiery mountain music," combining the style of old country ballads with progressive bluegrass to create an original sound full of energy and passion.

Currently building themselves a reputation as one of the hottest young bluegrass acts around, the Burners—Mary Lucey (acoustic bass), Bill Cardine (resophonic guitar), Dan Bletz (acoustic guitar), Odessa Jorgensen (fiddle), and Wes Corbett (banjo)—have appeared on BBC World TV's Destination Music, NPR's Mountain Stage, and PBS' Roadtrip Nation.
