new folk troubadour
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

With nothing more than a guitar in hand and a song with a story to tell, Keith Greeninger can captivate an audience. His deep, textured voice and deft playing fill the room, while his rich, engaging songwriting keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. Faithful to the basic elements that fuel us all—love, nature, family, friends, and community—Keith paints intricate portraits of the human condition with a pallet full of memorable characters and good tunes.

The Bay Area native began his professional career while still a teenager traveling with his guitar throughout North America; every encounter, every odd job, every new community became an integral part of his bittersweet lyrics and folk-rock blend. After nearly a decade of playing in the popular folk trio City Folk (with Kimball Hurd and Roger Feuer), Keith returned to his solo career in 1997, winning the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Songwriters Contest. He recently followed that up by winning the 2005 Telluride Troubadour National Song Writing Competition.

Tonight Keith spotlights songs from his recent CD, Glorious Peasant, backed by his band of top musicians featuring multi-instrument wonder player, Dayan Kai.
