Two musicians with a similar taste for the macabre, Memphis-born Bob Frank and Tupelo native John Murry, decided to further expand the repertoire, searching the shadowy corners of American history for long-forgotten true stories of murder, suicide, and death. From the tragic tale of 16-year-old Madeline, murdered and bricked into a tavern's chimney, to the gruesome legacy of Joaquin Murietta, the "Mexican Robin Hood," the CD of original songs that resulted is a dark reminder of the skeletons in our nation's closets.

Stephanie Finch and Chuck Prophet, who are joining Bob and John for tonight's show, have made waves with their joint project, Go-Go Market, a collection of darkly tinged, street-smart vignettes from the seamy side of modern life.
