Rebecca Riots' singer-songwriter celebrates release of her solo album
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

East Bay singer-songwriter Eve Decker celebrates the release of her new solo CD, Commentary on Perfections of the Heart, with two evenings of upbeat, uplifting music. Joined by an all-star lineup of musical cohorts from the album, including Eve's former Rebecca Riots bandmates Lisa Zeiler and Andrea Prichett, vocalist Patty Spiglanin (Naked Barbies), and drummer Michael Urbano (Smash Mouth, Sheryl Crow), Eve presents a lively, thought-provoking selection of songs from her new album.

Eve is a long-time practitioner of Buddhist meditation as well as a member of the late lamented feminist folk trio, Rebecca Riots, where she was known for her spiritually aware songs like "Gardener" and "No Wings." Conceived while she was on a three-month silent retreat in 2003, Eve's new CD is a song cycle based on the Buddhist paramis, or "perfections of the heart," some of which include generosity, patience, truthfulness, loving kindness, and equanimity. Melodic and warm, full of beauty and joy, the songs reflect Eve's lifelong desire to create music that awakens compassion and eases suffering. Join Eve for an evening guaranteed to invigorate the imagination and enrich the soul.
