In two and a half decades of writing, recording, and performing together,
Trout Fishing in America -- also known as Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet --
have never ceased to delight audiences with their spirited, inventive
music and their wonderful sense of fun. Blues, pop, reggae, and folk go
into the mix, but what comes out, from the sublime to the utterly
ridiculous, is absolutely unique.
The duo, taking its name from
Richard Brautigan's novel, has been at it since 1979, playing and singing
on albums such as Truth Is Stranger Than Fishin' and most
recently, Merry Fishes to All, winning the hearts of kids and adults
alike, as well as three National Indie Awards, multiple Parents Choice Gold
and American Library Awards, and two Grammy nominations. Bassist
Keith and guitarist Ezra sing impeccably perfect harmonies, are masters
of their instruments, and possess the ability to take a song to its ultimate
logical absurdity without ever missing a beat. Bring the entire family:
you're sure to find yourselves implicated in traditional music's longest-
running conspiracy of fun!
