Last seen on the Freight stage wowing folks as a member of Redbird (with
Kris Delmhorst and Peter Mulvey), Jeffrey Foucault returns for a solo
evening of pure Americana poetry. A native Wisconsin troubadour with a
soulful voice and a great stage presence, Jeffrey specializes in dark
narrative ballads, haunting character studies, and spare love songs
embellished with his richly toned fingerstyle guitar
work.
Tonight's performance features songs from his recent
album, Stripping Cane (Signature Sounds), a mix of country blues,
country and folk music that The Boston Globe noted for its "rolling,
reflective ballads [that] shimmer with blue shade, everyday images, and
the quiet strength of hard-earned wisdom."
