Singer-songwriter Steve Young's incredibly smooth and powerful voice
was memorably described by Tulsa World as "pure cream shot
through a fire hose." This Georgia native plays American roots music that
deftly interlaces his Southern heritage with blues, folk, country, and rock
music, with side trips to Appalachia, Texas, and the Celtic
world.
A true modern troubadour, Steve has taken his unique
songs and lightning guitar playing throughout the world, and has written
some of country music's most memorable hits. Many of these are
included in his latest album, Songlines Revisited Volume One, on
which Steve re-imagines some of his classic tunes, like "Montgomery in
the Rain," written for Hank Williams Jr., the Waylon Jennings anthem
"Lonesome, On'ry & Mean," and "Seven Bridges Road," recorded by folks
from Dolly Parton to Joan Baez.
