Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

One of the true innovators on the Irish scene today, Dublin-born singer-songwriter Melanie O'Reilly has captivated audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with her exhilarating blend of Irish traditional music and the contemporary sounds of jazz and bossa nova.

As part of the Freight's St. Patrick's week celebrations, Melanie is joined by guitarist Sean O Nuallain, her partner on the recent, highly regarded duo album Aisling Ghear/Bitter Vision. Tonight's show features Lisa Pollard on reeds, Tim Hart on Irish whistles and bodhran, percussionist Ami Molinelli, fiddle-player Bobbi Nikles, and Irish dancer Eileen Mize.

Acclaimed by The Irish Times for her "Breathtaking and amazing emotional intensity and sheer virtousity," Melanie has won a growing following in Europe and across America with her powerful and haunting soundscapes. Come prepared to be spellbound!
