What do you get when a bunch of old friends, all of them longtime bluegrass performers in prominent bands, gather together on stage for the pure joy of the music? When they're the folks who periodically convene as Long Lonesome Road, you get a fresh, unique take on bluegrass, alive with the spontaneity that happens when a group of veteran musicians seize the opportunity to play above and beyond their usual setlists.

Long Lonesome Road combines the formidable talents of fiddler Bobby Hicks (Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Jesse McReynolds, Hazel Creek), banjo player and fiddler Ron Stewart (Lynn Morris Band), mandolin player Randy Graham (The Bluegrass Cardinals, Doyle Lawson, Continental Divide), bassman Harold Nixon (J.D. Crowe), guitarist Dave Parmley (The Bluegrass Cardinals, Continental Divide), and rhythm guitarist Dick Wodrich (Normal Brothers Band). Come savor the best in straight-ahead, traditional bluegrass with a great vocal blend and plenty of gospel singing, in numbers ranging from contemporary originals to classics from the early days of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers.
