Veteran performer, John Stewart has spent a lifetime writing and playing music that chronicles the unique people and culture of America. A singer with a weathered, forceful voice, John spent six years in the '60s as a member of the Kingston Trio, during the time the group released hits like "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and "Greenback Dollar." Embarking on a solo career in 1968, he established a world following based on his distinctive vocals and wise, pungent songwriting, showcased on over 40 solo albums like his '80s hit album Bombs Away Dream Babies (RSO) and last year's Havana (Appleseed). John has also seen many of his classic songs covered by others, including The Monkees (John wrote their 1968 hit "Daydream Believer"), Roseanne Cash, Nanci Griffith, and Joan Baez. John will be joined on-stage by stellar bass player, Dave Batti.
