charismatic activist & singer
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | SOLD-OUT

Holly Near has been a powerful (and absolutely gorgeous) voice for human dignity over the past three decades, bringing her humanity, hope, spontaneous sense of humor, and immense talent to audiences worldwide. A skilled entertainer who brings to the stage a unique integration of world consciousness and personal discovery, Holly is also a consummate songwriter and stylist, her warm voice comfortably embracing country, folk, and jazz. She has helped shape the direction of independent music and the peace and justice movement with over 20 albums; her recent And Still We Sing (Calico Tracks) confirms Holly's reputation as one of the most articulate political artists of our time. Tonight, she is backed by the stylish piano of her long-standing accompanist John Bucchino.
