Texas original
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $15.50

San Antonio native Terri Hendrix fashions songs in a diverse mix of styles -- folk, country, gospel, pop, rock, Tex-Mex, blues, and jazz -- that spans the entire breadth of Texas music. In the seven years since she released her debut album, Two Dollar Shoes, Terri has gained a growing following with her tuneful, sharply observed songs, gorgeous voice, and striking vocal style that ranges freely from intimate, conversational folk to full-on scat singing. She's also made five more self-produced albums, including her brand new album, The Art of Removing Wallpaper, notable for its honest, well-crafted slice-of-life songs and its thematic focus on truth versus perception. On stage, Terri's whimsical wordplay and sunny presence are complemented by the seasoned craft of veteran multi-instrumentalist Lloyd Maines, creating a real down-home sound with a satisfyingly thoughtful edge.
