heartbreaking & uplifting songs, lush harmonies from acoustic divas
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $15.50

Berkeley artist Green's fresh, addictively catchy songs and masterful musicianship have brought her growing recognition over the five years since she released her debut album, Multiheaded Heart (FolkDiva). Tonight Green is joined by the sweet harmonies of Root as they celebrate the release of their new duo album, Down That Road. Green's delicate, vivid songs that lend poignant insight into themes ranging from growing up to staying innocent, conformity to diversity, faith to self doubt are delivered with a strong, lovely voice intertwined with Root's silky tenor. Add to this Green's skilled piano and guitar grooves, along with a great band -- Paul Van Wageningen on drums, Nelson Braxton on bass, and Shelley Doty on guitar -- and you get a lush ensemble sound that is the perfect setting for Green's beautiful tunes.
