Join three blues guitar masters for an entertaining and highly varied evening, ranging through many different shades of blue in one- two- and three-guitar combinations.

For the past 30-odd years, Roy Book Binder has traveled the world, as a "keeper of the flame" and ambassador of the blues. One of the finest guitar finger pickers active today, Roy has an eclectic repertoire that includes blues, country tunes, bluegrass, and folk. On his long musical journey through the last half of the 20th century (much of it spent in a motorhome), Roy toured and studied with blues great Reverend Gary Davis, performed with bluesmen like Homesick James and Pink Anderson, played old-time hillbilly blues as a regular on the Nashville Network, and appeared as a featured storyteller at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. His most recent CD is Polk City Ramble(Rounder).

Del Rey, who took up her chosen instrument when she was four years old, plays her metal resonator parlor guitar in a style that she says "combines country blues, stride piano, classic jazz and hillbilly boogie through the sensibility of an autodidact trailor-park esthete." A first-rate blues musician and vocalist, her shows always deliver complex guitar grooves, witty, literate lyrics, and plenty of sly humor. Del plays concerts world-wide and has recorded a number of albums, most recently the live CD Snapshot (Hobemian) and this year's Tonight, a duo effort with Steve James.

Devotees of contemporary acoustic folk and blues know Steve James for his flawless fingerpicking and slide guitar, idiosyncratic writing style, and exuberant stage persona. Exposed early on to blues and folk music through his record-collector father, Steve taught himself guitar and went on to play with blues luminaries like John Hammond, Bo Diddley, and Buddy Guy. Steve has been heard on "A Prairie Home Companion" and The House Of Blues Network, and has numerous acclaimed recordings, like last year's Fast Texas (Burnside), to his name.
