folk & acoustic blues & gospel
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $16.50

The soulful folk-blues of Eric Bibb beautifully fuses a traditional, rootsy style and contemporary sensibilities, his gorgeous vocals and lyrics in perfect balance with his fine fingerpicking. Eric's rich musical blend of blues, folk, country, gospel, and soul combines with his personal warmth and irrepressible optimism to create a truly enriching experience -- both musically and spiritually.

Although he now resides in Sweden, Eric grew up in New York City, surrounded by major musical figures of the day: he is the son of '60s folk and musical theatre singer, Leon Bibb, the nephew of world-famous jazz pianist/composer, John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet, and the godson of singer/actor Paul Robeson. Eric has toured with Robert Cray and Ray Charles, and has one Grammy nomination and four W.C. Handy Blues Award nominations to his name, two of them for his most recent album, last year's Natural Light (Manhaton). "I love him," says Taj Mahal: need we say more?
