sneaky original melodic music from the land of Snee
Door 7:30pm, Music 8:00pm | Purchase advance tickets: $15.50

When describing the original instrumental and vocal music made by his Wild Band of Snee, cello phenomenon Rushad Eggleston tends to wax poetic: "Imagine that you fell through a hole into a strange but friendly dimension. . . . Bunches of fine polka-dotted beings start spinning out melodies on their great grumbling gricktaphones, joined soon by vast barkobeest mooing orchestras of grenter-hoably zoabwinoan! The sound is spectacular . . . fast songs of far i-moogeny. Slow songs of ancient regal majesty."

How does one expand on that? Suffice it to say that recent Berklee College of Music graduate Rushad, greatly in demand throughout the U.S. as an improvising cellist, also plays with renowned groups like Grammy-nominated Fiddlers 4 and the Darol Anger Fiddle Ensemble. His fellow Snee cohorts are pianist Jed Wilson, Jacob Silver on double bass, and crystalline-voiced singer Aoife O'Donovan. If a "mixture of sneaky melodic music, some fast rhythmical poetry, and other weirdnesses" appeals to you (and it certainly SHOULD), come get down with the snee-land vibes -- but don't leave your snorblebees behind!
